All About Our Kickstarter Project

Last week we officially launched our Crowdfunding project on Kickstarter.

Our goal: Raise $3000 for video equipment

At the time of writing this, Shred Machine has raised over $600, and it's been less than a week since we launched the project!  We're incredibly grateful for all your support thus far.  We've got quite a ways to go, but we wanted to make a post to do things: thank those who have already contributed, and answer any questions that those curious about funding us may have, because we still need more help!

Let's start with the first matter.  Thank you.  Seeing people choose to invest their money in our project has been incredibly touching to see.  It excites us to know that people believe in Shred Machine so much, and want to see it succeed as we do.  Thank you all for your support, we can't wait to show you what we've got coming in the way of content, and thanks to your help we may be able to deliver it looking as good as it deserves to!

On to second order of business.

Kickstarter has been around for awhile, but a quick refresher on how it works:
  • We set a goal of $3000
  • If we don't reach that goal, we get none of the money people have pledged (and thus those who pledged are charged nothing)
  • In exchange for pledging money to our project, we offer you cool rewards like T-Shirts, Guitar picks, DVD's, special thank you's, and more!
  • Kickstarter takes a small fee (which we have accounted for in our funding goal, never fear!)
  • We have to raise $3000 by April 10th!
Now on to some more questions:

What kind of equipment do you need the money for?

Video equipment!  A camera, accessories, and of course we'll need a set to shoot videos.  We want Shred Machine videos to look professional and beautiful, so viewers like you will enjoy the content as much as possible. $3000 should cover the basics of what we need, making our goal far more attainable.

When will Shred Machine launch?

June 1st at midnight!

Will Shred Machine launch if the Kickstarter doesn't go through?

Of course, we plan on keeping our promise to launch June 1st.  Without the money from the Kickstarter, our project will become excessively more difficult to accomplish, and likely won't have the same high quality professional look that we're going for.  While it is possible for us to succeed without the Kickstarter money, we genuinely need it in order for Shred Machine to have a good chance at being a successful video series.

Will there be future Shred Machine series besides the upcoming self-titled 18 week series?

Yes!  Many of them in fact!  We have multiple series to do down the road after Shred Machine launches, and the equipment we will buy with the Kickstarter money will allow us to do those and will allow for them to look as high quality as they need to.  In addition, with the new equipment will come more free content for our youtube channel!

How can I help?

Donate to our Kickstarter project here!  If you can't donate, please share our project in anyway you can.  We're on track to succeed but we need your help!

Thank you for your interest in Shred Machine, and of course if you have any questions at all, please comment!  We'd be happy to answer any question you may have.
